One of my best sources for prepared, healthy food comes from OMG It’s Gluten Free, a new gluten-free cafe on Harlem Avenue in Frankfort.

My favorites from OMG are the pizza, which I can buy and freeze for a weeknight dinner when we have a softball game, and Hebda’s homemade gluten-free granola, which is absolutely addictive. I have to hide it so my girls don’t get to it before I do. It’s a treat sprinkled over Greek yogurt, with fresh strawberries, bananas or whatever fruit I have on hand.

I also buy OMG’s homemade gluten-free bread crumbs for chicken parmigiana, which is great for a fast weeknight supper.

I love this place and will be a weekly regular. Thank you, thank you. We had the lasagna and even my husband who does not eat gluten free liked it, I thought it was amazing also.

If you live anywhere near Frankfort Illinois, run do not walk, to “OMG It’s Gluten Free.” Easily the best gluten free restaurant (EVERYTHING IS SAFE!) we have found. Amazing quiche with the best crust – gluten free or not! – I have had in years. Spectacular lasagna and amazingly good salad. Did I mention cheap.

So far we’ve tried the lasagna (AMAZING), brownies, blueberry muffins, and carrot raisin muffins. They were all wonderful!

Today I went to your cafe where Dan and I had the most amazing “Gluten Free Pizza” I have had in the last 24 years sine I have been on the diet!!! This includes the GF items I dined on in Europe.

We were astounded and the Chicken Parmesan was fantastic! I met Andrew who is a genius! It is my personal opinion that you are the best Gluten Free Bakery/Cafe in the state of Illinois!

I am going to post this on my food blog as well as the Windy City Celiac site!
